Frequently Asked Questions

1. What division / level should I register for?
Click on this link for a guide on which division to choose:

League Age Calculator

If your child is new to our league or you're just not sure which division to register for, don't worry!  Please select the division that you think is best.  If you select a division that's too easy or too difficult for your child, our Baseball or Softball Player Agent will help you.  We want your child to have fun, learn, and love the game!

If you don't see the division you wish to register for (i.e. you want your child to play T-ball, but the system only offers Coach Pitch due to age), please register the next closest division and then email [email protected] for a manual division override.

2. Can I request to be on the same team or play for a specific coach?
For T-ball, Coach Pitch, and Minor C you can request to play with your friends and/or play for a specific coach and we will do our best to accommodate, but do not guarantee. You can send these requests to [email protected] For Minor B and above we use a draft system so no team requests are allowed.

3. When are games and practices?
Practice and game schedules are determined AFTER TRY-OUTS! You can request certain practice days, but we cannot guarantee it. Practices are generally two times a week and (once games begin) games can be twice a week as well. There will most likely be a game on Saturday mornings and one during the week (which may take place of a practice depending on the practice schedule). Depending on the division, WTLL plays teams in District 6 which include, but are not limited to: Palma Ceia, Bayshore, Tampa Bay, Interbay, Yellow Jackets, Belmont and Keystone. *Please note that you may have to travel to these leagues on game days.

Fall season does NOT have tournaments; however, if applicable for your player's age, Spring season teams may participate in the District 6 "Tournament of Champions" and/or (if selected) "All-Stars".

4. Player Eligibility - Address and School Information
A player is eligible for a local Little League if they reside inside the boundaries of a league or attend a school whose physical location is located inside the boundaries. You can confirm which little league you are eligible for here: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder/ If your child attends a school in our district, we can provide the necessary School Enrollment form to fulfill your residency requirements.  You can also use our boundary map: https://apps.littleleague.org/dc/League/BoundaryMaps/ViewMaps

Want info about the documents required for player eligibility verification?  Visit Little League's website.  https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/residency-requirements/

7. Can I be a Coach or Volunteer?

We are always in need of more volunteers! WTLL is 100% ran by non-profit volunteers and in order to provide the opportunities and an amazing experience for the kids, we are always looking for more. From Coaches, Umpires, Concessions, Team Parents, or just a simple park clean-up... we need you! We also offer to sign off on SERVICE HOURS for students or other members in our community that are in need.
Please email us at [email protected] with any inquiries so we can point you in the right direction.
8. COVID and Sickness Policies:

Players, coaches, and fans that are quarantined from work or school must also quarantine from all WTLL activities.  Please notify your child's coach of the quarantine and the timeline.

If you or your child is feeling sick, may be sick, or is exhibiting any signs of being sick, please notify your coach and do not attend events at WTLL until the symptoms are no longer present.

We appreciate your help in keeping everyone in the WTLL community safe and healthy.
